Just a little bit of help from Pennine Mobile Valeting.......One of the most annoying stains is chewing gum, especially when it has been left and trodden deep into your car's carpets, car mats and seats. Products and equipment required for this job
Instructions 1. Clean the affected area with a hoover. Top tip - Test Autoglym Interior Shampoo in an inconspicuous area prior to cleaning. 2. Generously apply Autoglym Interior Shampoo onto the chewing gum, cover with cling film and leave for at least 10 minutes. 3. Uncover the affected area and re-apply the Interior Shampoo and prepare a bucket with clean water. For this part of the job you will also require an Autoglym Flunkey Leather and an Autoglym Hi-Tech Cleaning Hand Pad. Top tip - Place the Interior Shampoo bottle on the cling flim to hold it in place. This will "sweat" the stain out of the fabric. 4. Once you have re-applied the shampoo, it's time to agitate the affected area with the Hi-Tech Cleaning Hand Pad and dry it using the Flunkey Leather. 5. Repeat step 4 until the gum has been removed. If chewing gum is still present, complete the following steps. 6. Apply Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover to an area of Autoglym Perfect Polishing Cloth. Working inwards over the gum, agitate until the gum breaks away from the fabric. Top tip - Test the Intensive Tar Remover in an inconspicuous area first for colourfastness. 7. Now that the gum has been removed, use your Interior Shampoo and Hi-Tech Hand Pad to clean the area to remove residue. Finish off by drying using the Flunkey Leather.
